Troy Alley III

Troy C. Alley III is the founder and CEO of Third Generation Capital Management, LLC, an investment consulting and research service company based in Dallas, Texas. With a unique focus on charitable giving within the local DFW area, a portion of the company’s generated returns are donated to various charitable and non-profit organizations. Mr. Alley is responsible for heading the firm's organizational corporate strategy, operational management, and clientele outreach which include high net worth individuals (HNW), family offices, and financial institutions.


Prior to launching Third Generation Capital Management, Troy had gathered over 10+ years of experience working and interning for many of the top firms across the financial industry such as Edward Jones, Merrill Lynch, and JP Morgan. He also worked on Wall Street for BlackRock, the largest Asset Management firm in the world, gathering experience specializing in the domestic and global Equity Markets of multiple capitalizations.


Mr. Alley has served on several community and business boards, including the SMU Cox School of Business Alumni Advisory Board, the Jarvis Christian College Employer Advisory Committee, and the Board of Directors & Finance Committee lead for SouthFair Community Development Corporation. He was also appointed as the youngest member to serve on the Dallas Theater Center Board of Trustees and the Endowment Fund Committee, the leading regional arts theater in the nation. In addition to these honors, Troy has been a guest lecturer for Master’s education at the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNTD), a member of the Benefactor Circle at the Fort Worth Museum of Art, and has been included in the SMU Digital Libraries Collection interviews conducted on black history.


Mr. Alley serves as the chairman of the Troy C. Alley III Foundation, which supports organizations that help with the educational needs and awareness of the arts for underprivileged students from kindergarten to higher education. He created and directs the Investment Career Awareness Program (ICAP) teaching minority university students about investing and wealth building. In addition, he is also the co-founder and director of student and corporate recruitment for the Alley Scholars program, which has provided scholarships for over 400 students in several states.


Mr. Alley holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and has completed advanced coursework from the Chicago Booth School of Business and Harvard Business School.
